My Story

I have been a nurse for 11 years but I have always had an interest in learning to code. I love learning to problem solve in a completely different way. I can't wait to find a company to learn and grow with! Things I enjoy in my freetime learning new skills, watching bad Karaoke, or letting of steam while playing my fave video game and healing the masses. I am frequently encouraging others who are interested in web development to give it a try. There are many free resources out there to see if you enjoy it. Remind Me

A rails app built for busy nurses to remind them of upcoming due dates for things such as paperwork and appointments. Sends out text message (via Twilio) and email (via SendGrid) reminders when 2 weeks, 1 week, and 2 days from due date. Uses Heroku scheduler to manage reminders being sent out daily.

You Can Do It!

A ruby on rails To Do app. I enjoyed building this and learning to work with different states of an object in the process. Great application to keep you from forgetting the important things in your day.
